George Harrison’s music and spirituality has touched millions. In the creative shadow of Lennon and McCartney, his songwriting evolved from his early Beatles compositions (“Don’t Bother Me” & “Think For Yourself”) to timeless standards (“Something” & “Here Comes The Sun”). His experimentation with Eastern music and philosophy changed the course of popular music (“Love You To” and “Within You Without You”). “Savoy Truffle” and “By George” perform an electric and acoustic tribute to George Harrison – from the Beatles years to his Top 10 hits of the 1970’s through his return to the spotlight with the Traveling Wilburys and beyond.

The Bands

Welcome to The George Harrison Tribute website. We are a collection of musicians, performers and vocalist that collectively perform a celebration of George Harrison’s songs and music. Initially founded in Philadelphia, Pa. the band traditionally performs select shows/venues near George’s birthday. Along with our core group members, we invite special area guest to join the band for the shows.

With the outstanding response through the years, in 2013 we decided to formalize “The George Harrison Tribute” into a permanent tribute show featuring George’s songs. With band members located in California and Pennsylvania, TGHT was created featuring an East Coast Band – “SAVOY TRUFFLE” and a West Coast Band – “BY GEORGE”.
